Honey Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/4 c. Soy Sauce

  • Juice of one lemon

  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. butter

  • 2-4 6 oz salmon filets patted dry

  • salt and pepper

  • minced garlic

Instructions:​

  • Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes

  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add 1 tbsp. olive oil and one tbsp. butter.  When the butter is melted add the salmon skin side up and cook about 6 minutes, then flip the salmon and add the remaining tbsp. of oil.

  • Add garlic to the skillet and cook for about one minute then add the honey mixture and cook until reduced (3-5 min).  while cooking spoon the sauce over the salmon.

**I like the flavor this sauce adds so sometimes I make extra, heat in separately in a pan and serve it alongside the salmon.
