Dover is an easy day trip from London. We recently took the train from London to Canterbury where we spent the first part of our day exploring beautiful Canterbury and then rented a car and drove to Dover where we enjoyed a delicious lunch overlooking the marina at Bella Vita Cucina Italiana before embarking on our exploration of the White Cliffs. If you'd like more time in Dover, you can take the train directly there and then from the train station you can take a bus to the cliffs and castle.

Find the best schedule and route for your and book your reservation in advance at Trainline.

Additionally, there are numerous tours available that depart from London to discover Dover. Alternatively, you can opt for the same route we selected and dedicate a day to exploring both Canterbury and Dover alongside a knowledgeable guide who will provide abundant information to enhance your visit.
