There are countless restaurants in Fort Worth that you should add to your list of places to try if you are in the area. Some are iconic and have been around for many year, and some are new to the scene and will make their mark! I am still doing my, "research," as I eat my way through DFW, but here are just a few that we have recently tried and enjoyed.

Opened in 2022 and already made the James Beard Award listing as a Best New Restaurant! They bring Northeastern Mexican fare to pay homage to their hometown of Saltillo, Mexico.
We went for brunch and enjoyed everything we had! I cannot wait to come back to try their dinner menu which I have heard from friends and reviews is phenomenal!

Located in Sundance Square, Waters restaurant serves fresh seafood with southwest flavors and a hint of Louisiana. They have one of the best gumbos I have ever had, in fact the gumbo recipe I make at home is my attempt to replicate it. They fly in fresh fish like halibut from Alaska and Diver Scallops from Maine. Their menu is almost all seafood, but they do have a filet mignon for meat eaters. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Worth and we have been several times and never disappointed. They also have an impressive wine menu!

Located within Hotel Drover in the heart of the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards, 97 west serves American Classics with a Southern flare. Their menu features comfort foods in a ranch inspired atmosphere. We enjoyed brunch here, everything was delicious and I can't wait to try their other menus. We loved the BYO Mimosas, where you can purchase a bottle of mumm or veuve and a choice of two juices. Also, a must try for the table was the mouthwatering Giant Cast Iron Cinnamon Roll and the Sweet and Spicy Bacon over jalapeno corn bread.
They serve Breakfast and Lunch M-F, Brunch Saturday and Sunday until 2 pm and Dinner Daily. They also have three private dining rooms.

Since their doors opened in 2000 in Fort Worth's Stockyard district, Tim Love's restaurant quickly became a Fort Worth favorite and has received numerous awards. The menu is a homage to the Old West and features steak, seafood and unique items such as Kangaroo Carpaccio, Rocky Mountain Elk Ribeye and Rabbit and Rattlesnake. I cannot think of any other menu that offers such unique items and flavors. The wine menu is also extensive and impressive. Reservations are recommended!

Reata has been a staple in Sundance Square since 2002. The 20,000 square foot four story restaurant has several themed Texas rooms, and a rooftop patio/bar with great views of Fort Worth. They also offer 6 private dining rooms. The menu features Texas Cuisine such has tenderloin tamales and chicken fried steak. This is one of my favorite brunch spots when we are staying overnight in Fort Worth. I love the chicken chilaquiles pictured here. The Habanero Margarita is amazing! They have several fun cocktails
I love they list some of their customer's favorite recipes on their website and also have cookbook!

I love the history and story behind the Garcia family and how they turned a small grocery story that opened in 1930 into the place it is today. When they opened their small restaurant they could serve 16 people and now they can serve about a thousand, with a line out the door most days!

Grace Modern American Classics
Located in Downtown Forth Worth in the heart of Sundance Square, Grace is a fine dining restaurant serving fresh seafood, fine steaks, and an extensive wine menu. The atmosphere is swanky and beautiful. I almost didn't include it here, because we really didn't have the best experience, however the reviews are good and I want to give them another chance. We sat at the bar in hopes of faster service since we had concert tickets, however the service was painfully slow and our was underwhelming and bland. Maybe it was an off night, I hope to go back soon!
