Steamboat Springs boasts a wide array of excellent restaurants. Following an active day on the slopes, you will discover numerous fantastic dining choices to satisfy your hunger.

Here is just a short list of some of our favorite restaurants on and off the mountain.

Salmon filet over quinoa and corn salad

Truffle Pig Restaurant is the ideal spot for Après Ski dining situated at the foot of the mountain. They host a vibrant Happy Hour right after the slopes close, running from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Their varied menu caters to both lunch and dinner preferences, featuring dishes like Wagyu Beef Bolognese, Scottish Organic Salmon, Braised Beef Short Ribs, and premium cuts, ensuring there is something for everyone. Don't miss out on the Truffle Pig fries, they are to die for!

Laundry Kitchen and Cocktails is situated in town in the Soda Creek building, formerly the Steamboat Laundry from 1910-1977. The restaurant focuses on a shared plate concept, providing a diverse menu selection along with an extensive cocktail and wine list. They are open daily at 4:30 pm, reservations are highly encouraged as they get quite busy.

Located in town on Lincoln Avenue, Besame offers a fast tapas menu as well as several "global flavor" entrees. The menu is unique, upscale and mouthwatering. Their happy hour is quite impressive featuring discounts on both food and cocktails.

Timber and Torch located at the base of the mountain is always busy and a fun place for après ski or a quick lunch break. Weather permitting, they roll up their doors and offer al fresco dining. They outside deck with fire pits is a great place to sit and watch the mountain. The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone and the service is always attentive and friendly.

white bean chicken chili

Slopeside Grill, located at the base of the mountain, provides a lively atmosphere throughout the day and a fantastic happy hour for Après Ski. Their handcrafted pizzas are exceptional, and their white bean green chicken chili is the best I've ever tasted. The menu is casual bar food, but it is delicious! This is a great place to catch all the games and they frequently offer live music. We never miss a chance to stop in here when we are in Steamboat.

Bloody Marys and cocktails on a table in the snow on the ski slope

While on the mountain the Thunderhead Food Court is a great place to take a break from skiing and enjoy and quick and delicious lunch. Red's Bar located adjacent to the food court serves up delicious cocktails including their hearty Bloody Marys

The only way to get to this slope side bar and restaurant is to ski there. I love this place, the food is always very good, and the drinks and service are the best! It is located inside Rendezvous Lodge, they offer a gourmet lunch with seafood, game and beef specials. Everyone says try the seafood chowder.
