I don't know about you, but to me there is nothing more romantic than escaping reality for a little while with the one you love. My love language is definitely quality time, and what better way to find that special quality time than travelling the world together?
So in honor of National Couple's Day today, I thought I'd compile a very short list of some of the most romantic getaways that I have been on and hopefully inspire you to escape with the one you love. There are so many more amazing destinations and ideas for places to go for a romantic getaway, I love this idea so much I plan to keep adding our favorite places to this short list!

Santorini, Greece
With it's iconic whitewashed villages and fiery sunsets over the Aegean Sea, Santorini sets the stage for romance. Couples can sip local wine in cliffside tavernas or unwind in luxury cave hotels overlooking the caldera.

Paris, France
Can you really create a list of romantic getaways and not include the, "City of Love?"
Whether it's strolling through the picturesque streets, leisurely enjoying a late lunch, sipping wine at a tucked away bistro, a picnic under the Eiffel Tower or a quiet evening at a romantic restaurant, Paris always delivers romance!
There are so many different neighborhoods to stay in some more quiet and romantic than others.
We really enjoyed the Nolinksi Hotel and would definitely stay there again. It is quiet, located in the perfect place for sightseeing and the service was impeccable.
However, next time, we will stay at the Brach Hotel, because we absolutely loved it when we went for dinner at the Brach Restaurant. The rooftop is transformed into an urban garden with a bar and incredible views of the Eiffel Tower.
Really want to step up the romance, take a day trip to Champagne! The train ride from Paris to Reims can take as little as 45 minutes to just over an hour. We loved exploring on our own and touring three of our favorite Champagne houses. Veuve, Taittinger and Moet. You can also book a private or small group tour if you'd rather have a guide and transportation. It is a perfectly romantic day away from the city!
Costa Rica
I couldn't create a list without mentioning one of my favorite places on earth.
There are so many incredible places to escape in Costa Rica for a romantic getaway! My favorite part of the country is by far Manuel Antonio and surrounding area as well as just a little further South in Uvita. But I also love Peninsula Papagayo, the Four Seasons Resort there is definitely a luxurious romantic getaway.
We had an incredibly romantic weekend at Tabacon Thermal Resort and Spa! Enjoy thermal spas, amazing food, book the suite with a view of the Arenol Volcano, and most definitely get the couple's massage surrounded by nature and ends with fresh fruit, champagne and a hot tub all alone! Doesn't get much more romantic than that!
If you like nature, beautiful beaches, wildlife and incredible food, Costa Rica should be on your list of places to escape and explore with the one you love!
Punta Mita, Mexico
Punta Mita is one of my favorite places to visit in Mexico! Located just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita feels exclusive and the sunsets are incredible. The people are friendly, the food in the town is amazing, and the Four Seasons Resort is my favorite resort in all of Mexico. Enjoy lazy days on a private beach or poolside cabana, have a private dinner on the beach or cliffside, slip into your private plunge pool and enjoy a romantic dinner at the resort or in town. (check out a list of my favorite restaurants) The welcome you receive is like no where else I've ever been. If you love Mexico and are looking for a romantic getaway, add Punta Mita to your list of places to visit!
Napa and Sonoma Valley
Northern California is a beautiful place you could spend endless days exploring the beautiful wineries, incredible restaurants and taking in the gorgeous scenery that is around every corner.
A weekend getaway to the wine country is always a romantic place to reconnect. Check out what I love most about Napa and Sonoma and discover some amazing wineries to try as well as suggestions on things to do and places to stay and eat.
We love to stay at the R Inn Napa, a contemporary Urban Boutique Hotel. This relatively small boutique hotel features 5 loft suites, 10 rooms and a free standing bungalow with a full kitchen. It is such cool vibe and unique place that we have stayed multiple times. However, there are so many other beautiful and romantic places to choose from.
